My Musical Journey

Most people who know me know that I have been singing and learning music since I was six years old.

It is very interesting to think that I’ve spent over more than half of my life learning music.

Once 11th grade came around, it became difficult to manage both music and studies. Music took a backseat, and soon after, I started my journey as a Biochemistry major at the University of Maryland in the fall of 2012.

During the summer of 2014, I visited a music gurukul in Pune, India called Chinmaya Naada Bindu Gurukul for the very first time. I can say 100% that I have never been the same after that! After returning from that trip, I started to see things a little differently. I wanted to teach music and spread that joy to other people but felt that I still needed some more experience.

After a lot of deliberation, I finally came to the conclusion that I wanted to take up music full time. I made the decision to go back to Pune after completing my Bachelor’s degree, and come summer 2016, I was ready for my ‘studying abroad’ experience!

Now, I am back in Maryland after spending some of my best years in India

I am looking forward to sharing my experiences and knowledge with others. I’m so excited to start this new journey that is Parampara School of Performing Arts, and I hope you’ll join me!
